La NYFW ha terminado =( Mañana publicaré una entrada sobre las tendencias de belleza vistas esta semana. Y después...para Londres que nos vamos ;)
-Proenza Schouler:
I guess the Proenza boys can disappoint, but I don't think they can disappoint me. It's like everything they do looks perfect so...biased alert!!
But, I mean, they do create amazing collections. Take this one as an example.
I know it looks very Balenciaga (Ghesquière's Balenciaga, not Wang's), and I've never been a crazy Balenciaga fan but...I like it. Seriously, those shapes are amazing. There is a bit of a prints overload but I like it too.
However, I can see why some people hate it.
Supongo que los chicos de Proenza pueden decepcionar, pero no creo que me puedan decepcionar a mí. Es como si todo lo que hacen fuera perfecto en mis ojos...¡¡no voy a ser objetiva nunca!!
Pero, hablando en serio, es cierto que hacen colecciones maravillosas. Y esta es un ejemplo.
Se que es un poco demasiado Balenciaga (el de Ghesquière, no el de Wang), y no es que yo haya sido jamás fan de Balenciaga pero...me gusta. En serio, las siluetas son una pasada. Y hay una pequeña sobredosis de estampados, pero también me gusta.
Sin embargo, puedo ver lo que no ha gustado a alguna gente.
-Ralph Lauren:
Remember my speech about commercial designers? Same applies to Ralph Lauren. So yeah, no risks but still, the clothes are beautiful.
I think they did two different shows at the same time: Polo by Ralph Lauren and Ralph Lauren collection. It's quite confusing.
But I'm going to consider it as one. The first outfits are perfection. Slightly posh but, who cares? This is Ralph Lauren. And the berets? Per-fec-tion.
I also love the leggins + skirt combo, since I use it a lot. I know a lot of people hate it, but Ralph and I like it so, face it people ;P
Also, it's interesting to see the pop of colour the jackets/coats add.
The kind of bohemian part of the show is my least favourite. And the last part of the show (the Ralph Lauren collection part) was extremely elegant. The pink cape Anna's wearing is so simple, yet so elegant and gorgeous.
¿Recordáis mi discurso sobre diseñadores comerciales? Pues lo mismo vale para Ralph Lauren. Así que, nada de riesgos pero ropa bien bonita.
Creo que hicieron dos desfiles diferentes a la vez: Polo by Ralph Lauren y Ralph Lauren collection. Es algo confuso.
Pero voy a considerar que solo fue uno. Los primeros pases son perfectos. Algo pijos pero es Ralph Lauren, ¿qué queremos? Y las boinas son per-fec-tas.
También me gusta la combinación de leggins y falda, ya que yo la uso mucho. Se que a mucha gente no le gusta, pero a Ralph y a mí sí, así que aceptadlo ;P
Aparte, me gusta el toque de color que aportan las chaquetas y los abrigos.
La parte bohemia es mi menos favorita. Y la última parte (la de Ralph Lauren collection) fue totalmente elegante. La capa rosa que lleva Anna es tan simple, pero tan elegante y preciosa.
-J.Mendel:
Not what I expected! When I think of J.Mendel, I think of long gowns that we can see on the red carpet. We still got a couple of gowns but the rest of the collection has nothing in common with J.Mendel's softness.
We saw a lot of fur, in different colours.
It was kind of a powerful collection.
¡No es lo que esperaba! Cuando pienso en J.Mendel, pienso en vestidos de noche que veremos en la alfombra roja. Cierto es que había un par de vestidos de ese tipo, pero el resto de la colección no encajaba con la suavidad de J.Mendel.
Vimos mucha piel, en diferentes colores.
Ha sido una colección bastante poderosa.
-Calvin Klein:
I've been waiting all these days to see Vanessa on the runway again, and I wanted her to open or close the show (or both). But that didn't happen. She'll probably get the campaign again, so I shouldn't care.
And, what can we say about the collection? Well, it was beautiful. I was checking Calvin Klein's instagram today and I saw they describe the brand with 3 words: modern, minimal, inspiring. I wouldn't have said it better.
He estado esperando todos estos días para ver a Vanessa en la pasarela otra vez, y quería que abriese o cerrase el desfile (o las dos cosas). Pero eso no ha pasado. Seguramente se lleve la campaña otra vez así que ni me quejo.
Y, ¿qué podemos decir de la colección? Bueno, es bonita. Estaba hoy mirando el instagram de Calvin Klein y vi que describían la marca con 3 palabras: moderna, minimalista, inspiradora. Yo no lo habría dicho mejor.
