What I'm reading... The Christmas Basket by Debbie MacComber. And I am trying to catch up on some magazine reading... sometimes that just gets out of control.
What's outside my window... another sunny Sunday, snow melting off the roof, birds in the tree and in the feeders.
What's happening in my kitchen... Irish Soda Bread was made this morning. Finally found my recipe. I usually buy Price Chopper's Irish Soda bread this time of year... it's usually about $2 a loaf and then the week of St. Patrick's Day it is usually buy on get one free. This year it is $4.59 a loaf! Really? I don't care how much you are paying the baker that is a ridiculous price for a loaf of bread! I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure my loaf cost about a dollar!
What I'm thankful for... that winter is almost over. I'm ready for warm days and cool nights. I'm ready to take walks and not worry about slipping on a patch of ice. I'm ready to put away boots and mittens. I'm ready to play in the gardens. I'm ready for spring!
What I'm smelling... Bread just out of the oven and coffee.
What I'm hearing... hubby vacuuming around the woodstove, Pioneer Woman on the TV and birds on the porch.
What's on my mind... our oldest grandson who will be turning eight on Saturday. How did that happen that he got so big so fast?
