Feeling Proactive

I'm thrilled to report that I'm finished (finished!) with the shawl.  Phew.  I was a little worried last week but then I hunkered down and focused.  It's amazing how much I can get done when I am trying my best.  I listened to a lot of podcasts and during the evening I exclusively knit on the shawl while watching TV.  Sadly, I cannot read a book while knitting this project.  Hopefully I'll be blocking over the weekend.

My gym visits are getting more challenging and I'm sore in a good kind of way.  I haven't had any back spasms for a solid week and I haven't taken Tylenol either for the week.   This is serious progress that makes me happy.  My RA is behaving and so I just show up at the gym and try to do what he tells me to do.

I love feeling proactive about my health.  Control freaks tend to be like that.

Frodo is extra fluffy and has lots of knots
Call me crazy, but I have an insane idea to knit a sweater for my babysitting toddler girl in a week.  All so she can have the sweater for the holidays.  It's only 440 yards, easy peasy right?  I'll keep you updated, currently I'm on the hunt for the right color of red in a wool blend.

My internet was wacky off and on all week, so today they came to check our system.  The guy said 'oh, that's not good'... Something outside was broken (amplifiers??) and they fixed it all in the same day that I called.  I call that excellent service.

And I'm back on line and my pages are loading, I feel spoiled.

Tomorrow, my husband is having surgery for his trigger finger.  I have a long space of time to knit like demon -- on those hats that I want finished by next Wednesday.  I'm packing an activity bag for all the waiting around.

Supposedly, we might get some snowflakes on Sunday, I can only hope so!!
