In a heartwarming but unexpected tribute, Bollywood's very own self-proclaimed feminist and actress Sonam Kapoor decided to remember yesteryear actress Nutan, on her birthday yesterday by dressing up in one of the late actress's looks from the film Bandini. Hailing Nutan as one of the torchbearers of strong women-centric roles, Sonam remembers the actress on her birthday. Nutan would have turned 80 years this year. The actress is survived by her sister Tanuja who is still active in the film industry and son, actor Mohnish Behl.
Along with the picture that Sonam posted on Instagram, she penned a heartwarming message for Nutan on her birthday saying, "This was an ode to #nutan my favourite actress from the golden era of Indian cinema besides #Waheedaji .. It's her birth anniversary today and I just want to say I'm grateful for the legacy she left behind through her brilliant work, Bandhini, Saraswati Chandra, Milan, Sujata, meri Jung to name a few. You were the flag bearer for strong female roles.
