Guns N' Roses, Justin Bieber book shows at US Bank Stadium

Semi-reunited rockers Guns N' Roses and grown-up teen star Justin Bieber have booked summer shows at the biggest venue in town, the new U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis.

Tickets for GNR's July 30 concert are priced from $250 to $35 and go on sale at noon Saturday through Ticketmaster. Citi cardholders have access to a presale starting Tuesday. Seats for Bieber's Aug. 18 show range from $177.50 to $47.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster, with an American Express presale starting Tuesday.

Guns N' Roses began teasing fans about the show last week with electronic billboards around the metro, a tactic the band has used in other cities as well. Following years of rumors that the group's classic lineup would reunite, news finally broke in January that guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan would hit the road with lead singer Axl Rose for the first time since 1993.

Despite lead singer Axl Rose's reputation for starting concerts hours late, and often canceling them altogether, GNR's summer stadium tour earned warm reviews from both critics and fans. Billboard reported the nine-week North American leg drew more than 1 million fans and grossed $116.8 million.

Nearly a decade into his career, Bieber is mounting his first stadium tour, with USBS the third of six venues announced so far. The 22-year-old Canadian's career appeared to be over in 2014 after several run-ins with the law and declining album sales. But he staged an impressive comeback with his 2015 album "Purpose," which has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide and produced huge hits with "Where Are U Now," "What Do You Mean," "Sorry," "Love Yourself" and "Company."

Bieber hit the road this year for his first tour since 2013 and drew a sold-out crowd of about 15,000 to the Target Center in June. He's playing Europe through the end of the month and Latin America and Australia in the new year.

In other concert news:

– After finding success last month with a retro hip-hop package tour headlined by Vanilla Ice and Salt-n-Pepa, the Target Center has announced a similar show on April 7 featuring R&B acts Keith Sweat, K-Ci and JoJo, 112 and Ginuwine. Tickets are priced from $125 to $52 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Axs.

– Canadian rock band Nickelback will open next year's Minnesota State Fair Grandstand concert series on Aug. 24. The $80 and $65 tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Etix. The group was forced to cancel their last show in town, in July 2015 at the Target Center, after lead singer Chad Kroeger was diagnosed with an operable cyst on his voice box.
