Selena Gomez celebrated her 24th birthday with help from some pals, receiving cheers from her former boyfriend's, Justin Bieber's, mother and her always-faithful best friend Taylor Swift. But just after receiving birthday blessings from Bieber's mom and Taylor, Gomez shocked her fans by weeping on stage and posting a highly emotional message on Instagram.
Swift showed that she cared by returning to social media after her recent blow-up with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. After maintaining a social media silence since her post about the leaked conversation with Kanye regarding his "Famous" song lyrics, Taylor faithfully returned to Instagram just to celebrate Selena's birthday, pointed out ET.
Gomez's best friend shared a sweet throwback photo showing them posing in a way to show their heartfelt love for each other.
Her caption said it all.
"Going through old pictures today, because @selenagomez just turned 24!" wrote Taylor.
"I can't imagine my life without you, Selena. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
In addition to Swift, Justin Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette, turned to Twitter to wish Selena happy birthday, reported Elle.

Don't let them get to you. Keep UR peace & joy #LoveWins," tweeted Bieber's mom.
A birdie told me it was your birthday @selenagomez. Many tweets from the bird or may have been several birds maybe? #HappyBirthdaySelena

"A birdie told me it was your birthday @selenagomez," Pattie also tweeted. "Many tweets from the bird or may have been several birds maybe? #HappyBirthdaySelena."
As for how Gomez herself celebrated her birthday, she began by asking for donations to lupus research.

In addition, Gomez treated herself to cake and relaxing by the pool before prepping for her performance that night.
But despite the sweet treat and birthday wishes, something caused Selena to cry on stage. Gomez then posted a shockingly emotional message on Instagram, noted Us Weekly.
The just-turned-24 singer was seen trying to halt her tears during a concert at Jakarta's Indonesia Convention Exhibition arena on Saturday, July 23. Selena explained why she couldn't stop weeping during her introduction to her "Kill Em With Kindness" song.
"The next song, before I go home, is a song that's so important to me," revealed Gomez. "Because I get really frustrated. I get stupid sometimes. I say things that I don't mean, or that come out wrong just because I care so badly."

I do know that deep down in my heart that I have to believe that we can love each other and always be kind no matter what it takes in us," she added.
Soon after exiting the stage, Gomez shocked her fans again with a highly emotional Instagram post. In it, the singer confessed that she felt disconnected to herself and to her songs, while confessing that she suffers from fear.
"Tonight I felt extremely unauthentic, unconnected to both myself and my music," admitted Selena. "I've never really felt like my materials, wardrobe or a video could define me. I act on a moment and fear something that hasn't happened."
Selena expressed concern that she has become "stagnant," and admitted her fear that she does not take the time to listen to herself.
"I stay still and don't just sit with myself first and ask 'is this where I am, whole heartedly?' I've always told the truth. I'm always true to my word, I've shown who I am," Gomez added.
"I need to rethink some areas of my life creatively and personally."
In her caption, however, Selena clarified that she does not want to send a message of negativity, emphasizing her love for her Revival Tour experience.
"Not being negative about anything I've done," added Gomez. "I'm grateful for every single moment I get here -Indonesia you were LOUD and clearly inspiring. Love you so much."
